My name is Maria. I often get asked "Where did the name Mia-Tress come from?". Well, when I was young my first job, like many, was babysitting. Little kids can not always say Maria, and I was often called Mia. Tress means "hair" in french. so I put them together and became Mia-Tress for my business name.
A little bit about me. I am a wife to an amazing husband, a homeschool teacher and mother to 4 beautiful children. My mission is to provide a professional family friendly business.
I have been blessed with a talent and have a passion for beautiful hair. My goal is beautiful and healthy hair for all of my guests. I will not sacrifice the integrity of your hair for an Instagram picture that lasts 24 hours. I also love to educate. I love to help you find the perfect solutions to all your hair needs and the needs of those in your family. If you have hair questions or questions about what I am doing I am happy to answer. If I don't know the answer I love to learn, so I will find it for you. This way you no longer "hate, struggle or fight," with your hair.
I have personally struggled with hair loss. Due to a hormone issue and my age I will continue to combat my hair loss. This personal experience and being asked by clients regularly "What can I do about this thin spot? I just had a baby and my hair is falling out!" I decided that I wanted to learn more and find a way to help myself and my clients. I am happy to have gone through USTI and become a Certified Hair Loss Practitioner. My goal is to make sure that hair restoration is affordable and achievable for as many people as I can.
